Dr. Evelyn Bent-Rattray holds a PhD in the field of Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Louisiana, Monroe; a Master of Social Work degree from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan and a Bachelor of Science degree in Counselling.
Dr. Evelyn specializes in marriage and family therapy. She also works extensively with individuals: adults, adolescents and children experiencing depression, anxiety, anger, behavioural and other mental health issues. She sees each client as unique and her therapeutic intervention is well tailored to their individual needs.
She has lectured in the Faculty of Social Work at Wilfrid Laurier University’s Brantford campus in Ontario, Canada, and guest lectured on the topic of understanding family violence to Registered Practical Nursing students at Fanshawe College in Woodstock, Ontario, Canada. She was also a Guest Clinical Supervisor for 10 final-year Marriage and Family Therapy students, with on and off mirror supervision, mentoring, and coaching, at Colorado State University’s Master in Marriage and Family Therapy Program in Fort Collins, USA.
Dr. Evelyn’s academic honors include graduating Cum Laude from the College of Teacher Education and Behavioural Sciences at Northern Caribbean University, membership in the Phi Alpha Honor Society at Andrew’s University, and membership in the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society at the University of Louisiana, Munroe.
Dr. Evelyn’s professional membership history includes the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, the Ontario Association of Social Workers, and the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.
